7/30/10 - Boston Scientific wins FDA approval for two new SCS leads
Boston Scientific, a medical device company, has received FDA approval for two spinal cord stimulation, or SCS, leads for use with its Precision Plus SCS system, a rechargeable SCS device for the management of chronic pain of the trunk and/or limbs.
7/30/10 - Catheter Connections Receives 510k Clearance From FDA For DualCap Vascular Access Disinfecting Cap
Catheter Connections, Inc., a manufacturer of innovative vascular access and infection control products, announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted the company 510 clearance to market its DualCap product.
7/30/10 - Shionogi Inc wins FDA approval for drooling disease drug
Shionogi Inc, a US-based group company of Shionogi & Co, a Japanese pharmaceutical company, has announced FDA approval of Cuvposa, a liquid treatment for patients aged three to 16 who suffer from chronic severe drooling associated with neurologic conditions such as cerebral palsy. Cuvposa was designated an orphan drug by the FDA.
7/29/10 - Abbott wins FDA approval for new dosage strengths of cholesterol drug
Abbott, a health care company, has received FDA approval for two new dosage strengths of Simcor, a cholesterol medication. The new Simcor dosage strengths combine 40mg of simvastatin, the most commonly prescribed dose of simvastatin, with either 500mg or 1,000mg of niacin extended-release.
7/29/10 - AstraZeneca posts 22 per cent in Q2 profit, FDA committee approves blood thinner
LONDON - AstraZeneca PLC has reported a 22 per cent rise in second quarter net profit and has also revealed that a key new drug - its blood thinner Brilinta - has been given a thumbs up by an advisory committee of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Boston Scientific Corporation today announced U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval of two spinal cord stimulation leads for use with its Precision Plus Spinal Cord Stimulator System, the world's first rechargeable SCS device for the management of chronic pain of the trunk and/or limbs.
